Australian Racing - Racing: Balfour opens up on Morphettville dream
Emulating his father by training the winner of Saturday's Group 1 Goodwood at Morphettville would be a dream come true for Ryan Balfour.
It was 32 years ago that the David Balfour-trained Beau George struck Goodwood gold and on Saturday it will be left to Outlaws Revenge, who is rated a 50/1 chance, to try and get the Balfour name added to the roll of honour once again. Balfour eager to follow in father's footsteps
"My dad won the race 1990 with Beau George, it was a great day, it would be just amazing, it would be hard to put into words, to win it would be an absolute career highlight," the trainer told Racing.com.
"That's why you do it, to be a part of these races and it would certainly be a dream come true."

Balfour impressed with Outlaws Revenge
Outlaws Revenge has won five races over Saturday's distance, and Balfour expects a return to the 1200 metres will be of huge benefit to the sprinter who finished eighth when last seen in the Group 3 D.C. McKay Stakes over 1100 metres two weeks ago.
"This guy's versatile, he's got a lethal turn of foot when he's getting that right run, he's got a great sprint on him," he said.
"I just really want to see that really genuinely run 1200 metres as a Goodwood should be, so to see there's real speed horses out wide, I'm happy about that. He's ready to peak for the run."
Outlaws Revenge, whose last win came in a Listed event over the track and trip back in December, will jump from barrier nine under Jason Holder in the 19-runner field.
