Australian Racing: Danny's Valley hat-trick bid

Danny's St Darci will be aiming for three straight wins when she runs in the $175,000 VOBIS Gold Carat over 1200 metres at Moonee Valley.
The Archie Alexander-trained filly is a 9/2 chance in the nine-runner contest and will break from gate eight under Josh Richards.
The three-year-old just missed the frame when first-up this season, then ran below par when ninth next time, before going close when fourth at her third outing, but has won three of her last four races since.
She's done really well and she has surprised us a little.

She scored at Donald in November to get off the mark for the campaign and was then a sound second over the course and distance behind the re-opposing Luna Cat on December 3rd.
Danny's St Darci bounced back from that defeat with wins at Moonee Valley on December 17th and an impressive three and a quarter-length score at Caulfield on New Year's Day.
Those victories took her career score to four wins and one placing from only nine starts.
Alexander enjoys a surprise
"She's done really well and she has surprised us a little," Alexander said. "With racing she has improved. She enjoys it, she's thrived on it and has been winning and confidence is a great thing.
"The form around her may be a little bit questionable, but even so, it's a restricted race with very good money on offer, so we're hopeful. She's been racing well, so she deserves her shot."
A Cranbourne maiden winner in a two-start juvenile campaign last season, Danny's St Darci is the second-highest rated runner in the contest on a handicap rating of 75, with most of her rivals still in the 60s.
